My husband and I created the first Samoan board book company, Pepe Faitau Book Company, with a simple yet powerful mission: to bring Samoan Language board books into homes with young Samoan children. We work with Samoan creatives, building strong relationships in hopes of fostering trust and a sense of community. This commitment extends to our partnerships with organizations that help us donate books, ensuring Gagana Samoa board books are accessible to Samoan communities worldwide. Through our Send a Book Program, we’ve already donated to organizations in Samoa, American Samoa, Hawaii, and California—and we’re always looking for more opportunities to give back.

The idea for Pepe Faitau Book Co. was born as we prepared for the arrival of our first baby and realized the lack of Samoan board books available. What started as a passion project to help our children learn the Samoan Language at home has grown into a vibrant community of like-minded parents and caregivers. Together, we share a common goal: to provide our childen with access to cultural and language resources during their most formative years.

At Pepe Faitau Book Co., we’re committed to creating a richer cultural library for homes and bridging the gap in Samoan resources for children. We offer our books online and encourage small shops worldwide to place wholesale orders so communities everywhere can shop locally. Our goal is to help Samoan culture thrive for generations to come.
